Free Clinic of the New River Valley:

The Dental Clinic is located in Christiansburg and serves adults below 150% of the Federal Poverty

level who lack dental insurance. To see if you qualify for services, contact the Dental Program at

(540) 381-0820. Please note that a $20 fee for each visit is requested. Patients who may need help

in paying the fee can check with New River Community Action to see if they qualify for financial assistance. 

The Free Clinic provides cleanings, exams, x-rays, extractions and fillings.

 

Virginia Western Community College (540) 857-7221 and Wytheville Community College

(276) 223-4832 or 4831 also have dental hygiene clinics. Families may contact these colleges for basic

dental cleaning, sealant, fluoride services.

 

Tri-Area Clinic in Laurel Fork may be able to refer their clinic patients to a dentist that is affiliated

with the clinic. (276) 398-2292.        

 

Bland Ministerial Center Dental Clinic: (276) 688-4701The clinic provides free dental services

for adults and children who cannot afford private care. There is currently a waiting list.

The Virginia Dental Association (VDA) offers a Donated Dental Services (DDS) program.

According to the VDA web site, the DDS program has volunteer general dentists, specialists, and

dental labs that provide comprehensive dental treatment free of charge to those who cannot afford

treatment due to financial limitations associated with advanced age, disability and/or mental disabilities.
